A Family Business
Our strong family values have been key to our success at Aqua Engineering – we consider customers part of the ‘Aqua’ family and always strive to provide trustworthy advice, guidance, skills and products. We know that families look out for each other so with us around you can rest assured any issues will be fixed! Despite a tough climate due to COVID-19, thankfully, through togetherness, Aqua has continued its journey in providing excellent customer service care as if it was our own extended family.
Meet the team
David Brayshaw
Managing Director
David is the entrepreneur, the brains behind the business.
Hobbies: David is a Liverpool supporter and enjoys playing walking football 3 times a week.
Other: He’s definitely a morning person, coffee drinker, starts every day with Wordle and an early morning walk with the Jack Russell, Nelly.
Carla Brayshaw
Director
Carla, along with David, co-founded Aqua Engineering in 1996 as a leap of faith.
Hobbies: Horse riding; Carla has been a lover of horses for as long as she can remember and she’s the proud owner of Bosley, who is now 20 years old. She also loves old black and white films, and she’s a big fan of Sherlock Holmes, Basil Rathbone’s version in particular.
Other: Carla is very much a night owl, and she can tap dance.
Natasha Edmondson
Office Administrator
Natasha is our receptionist, the smiling face that greets you if you visit our office. She’s also one of the friendly voices on the end of the telephone, as well as being responsible for dispatching chemicals to clients and invoicing.
Hobbies: Natasha enjoys going to the gym, hiking, cooking, shopping.
Other: Loves football – Man united. Dream holiday – Maldives. Dog person/ tea person.
Jenny McWilliams
Office Administrator
Jenny is another of our friendly telephone answering team. She also manages our chemical stocks and dispatches chemical orders, as well as taking care of invoicing and booking in jobs for the engineers.
Hobbies: Jenny loves spending time with her Cockerpoo, Stanley, who loves to chase leaves!
Other: Jenny loves 80’s/90’s music. Her favourite artist is Robbie Williams, who she’s seen many times in concert, both in England and in other countries around Europe.
Dave Ash
Legionella Assessor
Dave is responsible for completing legionella assessments and reviews, as well as collecting water samples from clients for testing.
Hobbies: Dave plays in a Samba drumming band – performing at local and national events.
Other: Coffee – black, strong no sugar. Heavy metal / rock and roll.
Tony Martlew
Swimming Pool and Water Treatment Engineer
Tony is one of our skilled maintenance engineers. He looks after private water supplies, as well as servicing pools and spas.
Hobbies: When Tony isn’t tending to his beloved Bonsai tress, you’ll probably find him indulging in some DIY.
Other: Tony’s favourite band is Pink Floyd. If he could have a superpower, it would be to be able to fly.
Christian McKenna
Swimming Pool and Water Treatment Engineer
Christian is one of our skilled maintenance engineers. He looks after private water supplies, as well as servicing pools and spas.
Hobbies: Christian is a keen fisherman and DIYer
Other: Christian has a pet Doberman and he supports Liverpool FC!
Andrew Brayshaw
Swimming Pool Plant Technician
Responsible for fault diagnosis, service and repair of swimming pool plant and controls.
Hobbies: Boats

John Brayshaw
Swimming Pool and Water Treatment Engineer
John is one of our skilled maintenance engineers. He looks after private water supplies, as well as servicing pools and spas.
Hobbies: John is a dog person and he loves his motorsports.
Other: If he could have a superpower, it would be to be invisible.
Isaac Mitchell
Apprentice Water Treatment Engineer
Isaac is learning all there is to know about private water supplies and servicing pools and spas.
Hobbies: Isaac loves football.
Other: He’s a morning person, which should go down well with his pets, two Labradors and a Chihuahua.
